Two Arizona-based organizations dedicated to supporting veteran-owned businesses are collaborating on the upcoming edition of American Veterans Magazine.

The Southwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce (SWVCC) and American Veterans (AMVETS) are partnering to produce and distribute the summer issue of American Veterans Magazine, a publication focused on elevating veteran voices and highlighting the impact of the veteran community.

The magazine features veteran-owned businesses, employment opportunities for veterans, in-depth profiles, resources, Arizona-focused content, military history and informational listings designed to support and inform veterans and their families.

“As president of the AMVETS board and in my role as regional site director at USAA, I’m proud to support the collaboration between AMVETS and SWVCC on the upcoming American Veterans Magazine,” said Patrick Fitzhugh.

“This publication serves as an important platform to highlight veteran voices, recognize service, and showcase the businesses and organizations committed to strengthening the veteran community. Partnerships like this expand awareness, foster connection, and help ensure veterans and their supporters remain informed and engaged.”

SWVCC also operates a charitable arm, the Southwest Veterans Foundation, which provides higher education scholarships to veterans and to dependents of service members who were disabled or killed in action, among other benefits.

“Our two organizations share so many values in support of veterans and their families that this is a natural partnership,” said Tom Sheets, the chamber’s executive director. “We encourage veteran and non-veteran businesses and organizations to join us to get your message out to the entire state of Arizona.”

Readers, veteran-friendly businesses and organizations interested in being featured — as well as advertisers seeking to connect with Arizona’s veteran community — are encouraged to learn more about the upcoming issue here.
