BUCKEYE — Veterans gathered for breakfast at Liberty Elementary School as students served coffee, offered handmade thank-you cards and shared patriotic songs before the morning assembly. The event, now an annual tradition across the Liberty Elementary School District, honored those who served with breakfast and music before classroom celebrations continued throughout the day.
Last year, Liberty Elementary hosted a similar Veterans Day Breakfast & Assembly before classes began, part of a districtwide effort that included morning parades, student performances and guest speakers at all seven LESD schools.
