Phoenix chapter MOWW hosts 59th annual massing of the colors and 9-11 service of remembrance

Phoenix, AZ — The Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW), Phoenix Chapter, invites veterans, service members, first responders, and civic youth organizations to the 59th Annual Massing of the Colors and 9-11 Service of Remembrance on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the Phoenix Elks Lodge #335. The event honors our nation’s history, service, and the sacrifices made during the 9-11 attacks.

This patriotic event, led by Commander Jeanne J. Blaes, COL (Ret.), USA, begins with the Color Guard and State/Territorial Flags check-in at 1:30 p.m., followed by a Patriotic Concert at 2:00 p.m. The Ceremony will commence at 2:30 p.m. The location is easily accessible at:

The Massing of the Colors brings together representatives from all branches of the military, first responders, and youth organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America, Explorer Troops, and the Civil Air Patrol. This event is a time-honored tradition of patriotic unity and reflection on those lost on September 11, 2001.

Directions: Take Thunderbird Road via Highway 51, turn north on North 32nd Street, and follow to the Phoenix Elks Lodge at 14424 North 32nd Street. Guides will be available to assist with parking and directions. More information about the venue can be found at Elks Lodge Website.
