February started with a bang for the Veteran Champion Movement, civilian military advocates who entered the 2025 Parada Del Sol Parade in Scottsdale.
The Veteran Champions on Feb. 1 decked out their vehicles, donned star-spangled clothing and advocated for civilians to help veterans return home on behalf of Phoenix-based Vanguard Veteran.
“It was more than just a celebration,” said retired Lt. Col. Kathy Gallowitz of the event in Old Town Scottsdale.
“It was a heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women who’ve sacrificed so much to protect freedom and an invitation to every citizen to become a Veteran Champion,” she said.
