Members of Arizona’s veteran community are invited to the Capitol next week for a morning meet-and-greet with lawmakers.
The Veterans Caucus Advisory Board is hosting a Coffee & Bagels reception on Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Senate Majority Caucus Room at the Arizona State Capitol, 1700 W. Washington St.
According to the event flyer, the gathering is open to Senate and House members and offers veterans and advocates an opportunity to “grab a bagel, enjoy some coffee and start the day with good conversation.”
The event is hosted by the Veterans Caucus and supported by state Rep. Aaron Márquez (D-Phoenix) and state Rep. Walter Blackman (R-Snowflake), according to organizers.
Organizers say the informal reception is designed as a quick meet-and-greet to connect lawmakers with veterans and veteran advocates during the legislative session.
